It’s made of 97% of pure carbon that allows it to absorb toxins, lead, mercury, cadmium, copper and chlorine from tap water. In return, it frees calcium, potassium and magnesium into the water.
How To Use
Simply place the charcoal filter in a jug of water and it will work its magic. The water’s taste will noticeably improve already after 1 hour, but for the best effect, leave it there for 8 hours – ideally overnight. Lasts up to six months.
Over time, you will notice a decrease in the filter’s effectiveness on the taste of the water. You can then recharge it by simply boiling it for ten minutes.
Boiling washes away impurities and releases the charcoal to regain absorption qualities. Some people have more sensitive taste buds than others, so if you notice a drop in taste before 3 months have passed, it’ss quite normal to boil it at this stage as well. Giving it a total shelf life of six months, as long as it produces the desired effect, it means it’s working!
