This beautiful washed linen fitted sheet from Yumeko is a delightful fit and will only get nicer and softer with use. Linen is naturally slightly wrinkled (it does not need ironing), but has a luxurious look nonetheless.

Besides being beautiful to look at and wonderful to feel, linen is also a very durable fabric; for example, it lasts longer than cotton. Linen breathes fantastically. Moreover, linen is hypoallergenic and antibacterial. The fabric can absorb as much as 20 percent of its weight in moisture without feeling clammy.

Yumeko was founded in 2010 by two friends, Rob van den Dool and Stephan Zeijlemaker, who believed in a makeable future. They dreamed of launching an ethical brand in the market, to start a movement of clean sleepers - to demonstrate that sustainable business models are profitable and that consumers can make a real change in society.

Yumeko wants to offer consumers a sustainable alternative to products in the bedroom and bathroom. People are still mostly unaware of the animal suffering that lurks in comforters, the pollution of non-organic cotton and the abuses involving exploitation of workers and children in the cotton chain.

Yumeko is one of the few companies in the Netherlands to have received both the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the Fairtrade label. We want to be able to guarantee our customers 100% that the product they sleep on or under has been made in a sustainable way, without harming the environment, people and animals. That is why we choose to use, where possible, labels for our materials and production processes.
